PDF and conversion work offline; OCR works offline after each language model is downloaded once.

Translation requires an internet connection.

Linux— x64, glibc; needs the system Tesseract library (e.g. sudo apt install libtesseract5)

Windows — Run the installer. The app is not code-signed yet — if SmartScreen appears, click “More info” → “Run anyway”.
macOS — Open the DMG and drag FromTo to Applications. The app is not notarized by Apple yet: after the first launch attempt, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway”.
Linux — Use the install script or extract the archive, then run fromto-desktop.
